Welcome to RC&A

Rita Cevasco & Associates is a private practice founded and led by Rita Cevasco, M.A., CCC-SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist). She is joined in work by her daughter, Moira Chrzanowski, M.A., CCC-SLP. RC&A provides private speech and language therapy services as well as reading and writing intervention. We are dedicated to helping your child successfully engage with speech, language, and/or literacy using research-based strategies and instruction.

We recognize that every student learns differently, and many also struggle in learning to read and write with ease and proficiency. We provide a structured literacy approach to reading that includes explicit teaching with additional instruction in comprehension, grammar, word study, spelling, and writing.  Rita and Moira will help your child grow more independent and successful with their language and literacy skills, improving the way they think and engage in all areas of learning.

Rita Cevasco, M.A., CCC-SLP, homeschooled her own children and has spent over forty years working as a speech-language pathologist and reading-writing specialist. In addition to her many years in the field and running her own private practice, Rita also co-founded the online literacy education group, Rooted in Language, in which she curated and created literacy-related instructional curricula, materials, and online master classes. Her work focuses on children who struggle with developmental language disorders, dyslexia, and dysgraphia, and she is trained in Phonographix, Wilson, Orton-Gillingham, LiPPs, and SWI interventions. Rita reviews and studies the latest research on reading and writing to ensure her work with clients continues to follow evidence-based practices.

She sees private clients weekly while also raising three young children.
